Danforth · since 2014

The sauce goes on Sunday. The oven is loud the rest of the week.

Nonna Rosa Bianchi still starts the dough before the street wakes up. The grandsons stretch pies. You call the shop. Someone in the family picks up — on Sundays, that someone is Nonna.

We do not take cards on the site. There is no online till. Call, tell us the pie, come pick it up or we send a nephew down Danforth.

Twelve years, one stone

Rosa came from a kitchen outside Bari with a notebook of sauce and a stubborn oven. In 2014 the Bianchis took a narrow room on Danforth. The grandsons — Luca and Matteo — grew up on the peel. We are a family shop, not a chain packet.

Sunday sauce

Every Sunday the pot goes on at nine. Pork, tomato, hours. We ladle it over stuffed shells or send it with a loaf. If you want it, call before noon — it walks out of the kitchen.
